Jets' Rodgers Blames Fans for Struggling Season

ree

New York, NY – In a shocking press conference yesterday, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers blamed the team's disappointing season on the lackluster performance of the fanbase.

"Let's be honest, folks," Rodgers stated, "if these fans would throw more beer bottles at the opposing team's defense, we'd be undefeated right now. I mean, c'mon, a little intimidation goes a long way."

When asked by renowned Platypus News sports reporter Hot Mess Holly, if Rodgers takes any personal responsibility for the team's struggles this season, Rodgers responded with a smirk, "Well, Holly, now I'll throw multiple interceptions in the next game because you asked that ridiculous question. I'll see about getting you fired from Platypus News."

Rodgers also expressed his frustration with the team's wide receiver corps. "I told Jets G.M. Joe Douglas in the offseason to trade those slow, human receivers for actual Jets. I mean, real Jets, like the kind that fly. But noooo, they had to go with those slow guys who can't even catch a cold."

The Jets' have a bye week this week where they are the underdogs by 3.5 points at home. Then the week after Thanksgiving the Jets will host the Seattle Seahawks. It remains to be seen if the fans will heed Rodgers' advice and start hurling projectiles at the opposing team.
